About Guram Tsibakhashvili
Guram Tsibakhashvili is one of Georgia’s most acclaimed photographers and educators. Since the late 1980s, his work has documented Georgia’s cultural and political transformations through portraiture, conceptual series, and urban studies. His photographs capture the subtle intersections of personal and collective memory, humor and melancholy, everyday life and history.

Beyond his artistic practice, Tsibakhashvili has played a key role in shaping the country’s photographic culture — mentoring young artists, curating exhibitions, and promoting film photography as a living medium in the digital age. His works have been shown in numerous local and international exhibitions and are part of major public and private collections.
